To provide practical skills required to manage asbestos in buildings and a basic knowledge of asbestos management plans, policies and procedures, their implementation and checks on effectiveness.

- Use of asbestos, types and characteristics
- Management of asbestos in premises
- Controlling work on the fabric of the building or services
- Management and organisation of work activities within an asbestos containing premises
- The asbestos management plan
Who Should Attend?
Delegates who require the knowledge and skills to manage asbestos in buildings, and a basic knowledge of asbestos management plans, policies, procedures and their implementation.
Delegates for this course must already hold the BOHS P405 Asbestos Management in Buildings certificate.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the course delegates will receive a BOHS P407 Advanced Asbestos Management certificate.

This is a 3-day course.
The maximum number of delegates is 8.
If you have no intention of removing asbestos but work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, asbestos could be present. You will need awareness training so you know how to avoid the risks.
